I had no idea she was still alive.

Question: Do super-famous entertainers have troubled lives because being a super-famous entertainer is so difficult, or because the people who have the ambition to do what is necessary to become a super-famous entertainer are half-crazy to start with?

Great question, Michael. Maybe both. I read somewhere that professional boxers at the higher levels do not do well after their glory days. Also, some young tennis phenoms fold under the pressure - if I'm remembering correctly, Jennifer Cappriatti (sp?) Elvis was destroyed. Michael Jackson, always a bit strange., destroyed. Maybe if they are worshipped at too young of an age, they can't function normally., can't sustain a marriage, Just speculating. I rally don't know.

What memories! Thanks to my Daddy, I never got too carried away with physical appearance. He always stressed how unimportant looks were compared to character and intellect. RIP John Sasser!

Rosemary, I remember your dad. We went to his church one Sunday. He had a very interesting sermon, which not all do. Character and intellect - so important.
