Fred, you hit the nail on the head. The American public is taken with TikTok influencers, having the attention span of a gnat. As Rush used to call them, "low information voters", are k!ll!ng our country by doing no research into candidates and this will be one of the biggest steps to our downfall as free citizens.

Julia, thanks for your comment. One of the Founding Fathers - I forget which - wrote that an informed public is necessary to maintain freedom. In the current climate an informed public is a fantasy. I know very, very few people informed enough to understand. People have every right to vote, but their choices are made for a multiplicity of reasons and prejudices and ignorance. I - and you - do not say these things to pat ourselves on the back as being informed. It’s from a genuine concern. We are all too distracted and comfortable to notice and to worry. Only half of Americans even vote.IMoldani claimed to have been Asian and black on his Columbia application. Something like Elizabeth Warren claiming to be Cherokee. I am hopeful that the last election has turned things around.

Here's what Matt Taibbi wrote this week:

"The same Dems whose epic misreads of Donald Trump helped elect him, now are terrified that Mamdani is a threat to the party."

Mamdani is the new Obama. The white women Dems who voted for Obama to appease minorities and who, completely wrongly, believed that electing a black president would heal the racial enmity once and for all (and which in reality only increased that enmity) will vote for Mamdani to appease the Muslims, the immigrants, and the Muslim immigrants. While the Communist pro-Palestinian, pro-Muslim Dem left will also support Mamdani, of course. He's a communist. He is perfect to them.

While it may seem impossible that anyone emerging from New York City politics could win a national election for president, once again the correlation with Trump shows that to be false.

Obama ran for and was elected president after a only short time as the junior senator from Illinois. Pete Buttigieg was considered as a strong presidential candidate after having done nothing more than being mayor of a small city.

Just saw an old friend of mine — a TDS suffering left-worshipper now — post on FB: "Mamdani for President 2028"

Mamdani will probably be the Dem presidential nominee in 2028, and he will probably win.

Fortunately, he's not a natural born citizen, just a naturalized one--he was born in Uganda. So he's not eligible for the presidency, unless of course they find another Hawaiian birth certificate.
