It scares me too. President Donald Trump has promised to usher in a new golden age. Sounds good. If he succeeds, the long- predicted crisis will have come to a screeching halt.

Since Trump’s Inauguration, I was ready to write a piece titled, CRISIS AVERTED! It quickly morphed into CRISIS AVERTED? And now, not even two weeks into the Trump Presidency, CRISIS AVERTED? I DON’T THINK SO.

A Facebook friend posted, Trump should rot in hell.

We don’t exactly have consensus.

Trump has gone too far, too fast, and while I agree with much of it, shaking-up the lives of everyday people is over the top. With a national debt of $37 trillion, extreme budget-cutting measures are necessary. Pressuring federal employees to either quit or be fired, so he can boast how he cut wasteful government spending, is not the way to do it.

My main concern with the Woke agenda of the Biden/Harris years, was the open border. One of the primary purposes of the Constitution is to “provide for the common defense;” not to promote it, or hope for it, or to lie about, or pay lip service to it, or throw money at it with pie-in-the-sky programs. The police, the National guard, State Tropers, the army, navy, air force and marines, Department of Defense, FBI, and CIA all exist to protect citizens in a dangerous world. Opening the southern border was the opposite of protection. Yesterday there were 500 encounters on the border; in December, 2024, under President Biden, there were 52, 080 encounters, with an estimated total for the Biden presidency at 12 million.

Many Democrat city mayors, who have proclaimed to sanctuary cities, are vowing to defy the Federal government’s arrest and deportation of known criminals. They justify this with the fantastical claim that they are harboring families fleeing tyrannical governments. Try telling that to Laken Riley’s parents.

Will churches be able to offer immigrants sanctuary again?

While conservatives see images of south American illegals as gang members with ominous tattoos, Progressives present images of six-year-old girls in frilly dresses. Ministerial associate, Kurt Kaufman of the First Baptist Church of Denver, laid down the gauntlet. “We will be ready if we need to stand as a sanctuary for anyone, as always.”

For anyone? I’m sure the good folks at The First Baptist Church mean well, but would they give sanctuary to the illegal who set fire to a woman in the New York subway, and calmly sat down to watch her burn to death? Would they give sanctuary to the two illegal Venezuelans who abducted twelve-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, sexually, assaulted her, and dumped her body in a creek? If they answer “yes,” they win the gold medal for virtue signaling.

The CRISIS hasn’t been avoided. Trump’s heavy-handedness is inflaming the discord. But he still he has a mandate to:

Prohibit the medical profession from gender affirming surgeries on children

Close the border

End sanctuary cities

Deport illegal criminals

Get the homeless off the streets

Drill baby drill to make America energy independent again.

Go after the Mexican drug cartels by using any means necessary.

Defund woke universities. Take them to court.

Demand work, discipline and academic excellence in public schools.

End race bias in college acceptance

Remove dead wood from federal agencies.

Return the FBI to its original purpose of chasing bad guys, not parents who rfaise their voices at school board meetings.

Replace Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with a meritocracy. DEI is discriminatory, unfair, detrimental to safety, and unAmerican.

Strengthen the military.

Prevent public schools and universities from proselytizing for LGBTQ+ and BLM. That’s not in their job descriptions.

Remove sexually explicit books from elementary libraries, and order middle schools to not encourage sex in their health classes. SEX IN MIDDLE SCHOOL - by Fred Singer - CRISIS

There will be many bumps in the road to sanity. “The resistance” is sharpening its swords and writing its Amicus briefs. Republicans will continue to use the power they’ve been given. The fomenters of divisiveness, victimization, criminality, and chaos will continue to pose as angels of goodness and tolerance, but their faux wings will be clipped.

For a brief and hopeful moment, way back on January 20^th, 2025, I thought The Great Seventy-Five-Year Transition had reached its peak with the corrupt, nasty, profane, plagiarizing, incompetent, enfeebled, trojan horse of a President, Joe Biden, who has been eating ice cream and fiddling as Rome (and Minneapolis) burned.
